Why is Norton Ghost creating VProRecovery folders on my removable drives?

Norton Ghost has created a hidden VProRecovery folder on my thumbdrive, without any user action, containing a VProRecoveryStorage.ini file with this text:

[RecoveryPointStorageLocation]F:=.[TimeZoneInformation]Bias=0TimeZoneName=GMT Standard Time

The drive isn't reported anywhere within Norton Ghost, and I've taken no user action. Presumably, that folder and file are meant to be created when a drive is added to Ghost as a storage location. However it's being created whenever Norton sees a device.

Can I simply delete the folder? Any plans to sort out this bug?

You can delete it with no ill effects. I don't know why it would be created unless the UFD took the same drive letter as a previous backup destination. The only drives that have that folder on my computer are ones that were a backup destination.
