I have a 3 subscritpion, fully up to date Norton IS 2009. My son has one license running on his laptop and yet he still got infected with this malware.
Why doesn't Norton detect and/ remove this? This has been around for many months now. I got on to the Norton support chat line and all they wanted to do was charge me $200 for them to fix it. Having already paid to have Norton protect my computers, I was not very impressed.
i know that i cannot be guaranteed 100% protection as new viruses (virii?) are appearing all the time, but when something has been around as long as this, it should be found.
I eventually got rid of it (I think) using a mixture of Kaspersky, GMER and Malwarebytes.
I am now very nervous about how protected I am with Norton - I doubt I will go with them again.
