Why is Norton is forcing me to save bank details & auto-renew

My Norton came up for renewal. Naturally I wanted to renew. 

Despite trying in different ways, it was forcing me to signup for auto renewal.

(and they want to save my bank details).

Frustrated, I went to McFee, signed up for 3 years. No auto renewal clause.
