Why is Norton now affiliate with Lifelock?

I have purchased Lifelock protection.  I have purchased Norton protection.  I continually get these two subscriptions crossed and password management has been a frequent problem.  I prefer to manage my own passwords and account.  I do not value nor appreciate the sharing of any of my information between Lifelock and Norton.  For me they are not affiliated.  But I have a problem.  Lifelock sent me a message, so when I tried to link to this account message, it took me to Norton.  My previous passwrd for Lifelock was not tececognized, but my password for Norton was recognized and took me to Norton.  Istill can not link to the message on Lifelock.  Next I will open my Lifelock account and attempt to find my Lifelock message.

Does the Norton community have a solution to keep these separate?  Does anyone else share my preference to keep them separate? 

My own take on this is that the two components are better when they are separate as you have expressed. 

When the two companies merged they had decided to combine all those features as a selling point and I think they are still going thru growing pains and I sympathize with your problems. Others here have also reported the same and I think you might try calling LifeLock and speaking with a LifeLock agent to see if it can straightened out.
