Why is Symantec Intrusion Prevention disabled in IE Internet Options Manage Add-Ons

I am using version 18.6.0.29 and this is a new computer. I bought it last week. Also how could it have been disabled 3/30/2011 if I bought it in May?

Looks like you didn't click on the torn page icon to change to compatibility mode - or you were just posting a  blank message to see if anybody was reading.

There is an issue with the forum software with Internet Explorer 9 (currently being addressed) that manifests itself as blank posts. To get round this until a fix is released you should run IE9 in Compatibility mode - Go to the IE9 Tools menu and choose compatibility mode.
