With NIS 2009, 2010 and 2011, if I did not use the computer for 5-7 days, when I powered up I would get both NIS and Win XP warnings that my virus definitions were out of date. I would click "Fix Now," and LIve Update would run, followed by a Quick Scan.
I recently installed NIS 2012. A short time ago I turned the computer on for the first time in 17 days, and -- instead of the expected NIS and XP warnings -- the NIS icon had the "all clear checkmark.." So I manually ran the Live Update.
Any ideas on why NIS 2012 didn't warn me that it needed to be updated as previous versions did? And any ideas on how to address it if something is wrong?
Thanks.
