Recently tested norton ghost 15 on a friends computer, man what a dissappointment there is no partition creator in the bootstuff as usual or do I now need to buy 2 products (hey norton does not have it anymore) to use the full potential of norton ghost.
You would think after 15 versions somebody thought about putting this option in there...
I am a consumer:
I go to shop and buy hdd
I create a backup of my entire system on external drive
I switch hdd with new one
I boot with the bootstuff of norton
Wow surprise! There are NO partitions on his drive!
I restore anyway
Error booting
No boot.mgr....
Error making drive c primary
Error error....
Restoring hidden partition another big mess.
Wasted 51 minutes of my life waiting for norton to fail me bc I couldn't create a partition.
Norton Ghost Software for people who only have paritioned hdd! Now he has to boot with w7 create the needed partitions he wants in HIS order (including hidden partitions. Reboot and run your stuff....what a round about huh for such a simple thing!
I registered specially just to show how much this product frustrated me today. Maybe one day norton will see the light.
