It's time for me to renew my Norton and I'm having doubts about its benefit.
I didn't even know about the problem with the 2009 version though it appears you have solved that.
I like to use an online community of Flight Simulation enthusiasts (Vatsim program with over 216,000 users) but so many people on the Vatsim forum recommend against Norton, McAfee and some others because the programs prevent out hobby from working. Most recommend the free and payware versions of AVG.
From what i can see the payware version of AVG is the same as your Norton product.
There may be work arounds to get it working but apparently most FlightSimmers don't bother to ask since AVG works straight up.
I would be intererested if anyone here has worked out how to fix the Norton AV with FS2004 or FSX without disabling Norton? I have 2 weeks left of my Norton subscription.
