I installed Norton 360 Deluxe a couple of days ago, and since then my Wifi has been turning off after waking from sleep (but not every time). I then can't turn it back on via any of the menus. The only way to get it to work again is to restart the computer; I've tried turning the firewall off and on again. I'm running Windows 11 with the latest updates and the laptop is a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro. Can anyone explain how to fix this?
My only advice would be to stop using sleep/hibernate as it causes issues with many programs when awakening from sleep.
I run my PC 24/7 at full power and have been doing so for at least 20 years and honestly any savings in electricity is very small by my calculations. One benefits among others is that all large updates are run overnight and PC is ready in the AM.
Try right clicking on the network icon in the system tray and click on Troubleshoot problems. Run the network troubleshooter to see if it finds anything.
In Device Manager, check to see if you have any power saving options turned on for your network adapter.
Still having the same problem. It stopped for a while, but now my wifi completely stops working when my computer wakes from sleep. I can't turn it back on or disable/re-enable it.
