Last year I downloaded an update to NAV 2009 that allowed me to upgrade to the NAV 2010 interface for free about 60 days before my subscription for NAV 2009 had expired. When my subscription for NAV 2009 finally expired I went out and bought NAV 2010 and just simply entered the Product Key (PK) into the Subscription Renewal box and I was done. Since NAV 2010 was already installed on the computer I didn't haveto go through the entire uninstall/reinstall of the new version to get it up and running. That was very convenient and saved a lot of time.
I thought the same would happen this year with NAV 2010 being upgraded to NAV 2011 but it doesn't seem to have happened.
My NAV 2010 subscription just expired and I went out and bought a new copy of NAV 2011 (instead of going online to renew it) and entered the PK from the label on the CD into the Express Renewal box. The PK was accepted and now I have 366 days remaining in the subscription but the interface remains the same NAV 2010 and not the new NAV 2011 interface.
I prefer not to renew online because a) the cost of buying the new version each year in a retail store turns out to be cheaper than paying the renewal fee, and b) I don't want my credit card to be automatically billed every year for a renewal.
Is there an update that I can download from Symantec that will upgrade the program to NAV 2011 from NAV 2010 without me having to got through the entire process using the CD?
