Will marking a file as trusted keep Sonar from removing it?

Sonar deleted my old version of Microsoft Word (97!), saying it was a high-risk detection...some kind of Cryptlocker was mentioned.  I ticked to restore it, and also believe I ticked something re excluding it from further detection.  Word still wouldn't open, but after rebooting the pc it opened fine (whew).  Funny thing is, I couldn't find any record whatsoever of any of this in Norton history (not my key issue, but if there are any thoughts on that aspect please let me know).

I'm virtually certain this was a false positive, especially as all I had open were longtime documents I update frequently.  No macros, no content taken from the internet, not even any links or graphics.

Anyway, for the Word 97 exe (as well as the Excel 97 exe), Norton File Insight reports there are fewer than five community users.  So I clicked "Trust Now" for each of these exe's.  Will that keep Sonar from deleting Word again?  And on a related note, how does selecting "Trust Now" for a file differ from adding it to "Items to exclude from Auto-Protect, Sonar, and Download Intelligence"?

Thanks.
