In chat support 2 technicians have categorically told me that nis will not delete my inbox.
However, the Action Required box says this:
> Risks in compressed file "inbox" have been detected. (The compressed file and all contents, including uninfected files, will be deleted)
Under "status" it says "not attempted". Under "Action" the only option is "delete".
If nis will not delete my inbox, why is it now offereing to do so?
3 months ago my inbox disappeared immediately after i installed nis. i suspected nis had done this and complained to norton and was told that nis would not do this.
5 days ago a norton technician, using remote access, clicked "apply all" on the Action Required list without even looking at the threat details. presumably if this infected inbox threat was in that list then this would have deleted my inbox.
Would someone please explain? I am getting no sense out of the technicians.
how do i remove the viruses from the inbox? how do i prevent nis from deleting my inbox and from listing this threat?
