A friend of mine uses iolo System Mechanic Pro (SMP) 9.5 Internet Security Suite, which has always consisted of, among other things, a firewall. Suddenly, and without prior warning, iolo decided to remove the firewall aspect of their SMP product from version 9.5 and onwards, claiming that they no longer need to provide a firewall utility in their security packages as, in their own words, "The firewall built into modern operating systems such as Windows 7 provides sufficient functionality for most users."
That made me 
Is this something that Symantec agree with and will be doing likewise in the future? or will there always be firewall functionality in their Intenet Security products?
