Will the idle scans took place even when my laptop is in a power save mode?

Dear,

I mean when my laptop is in sleep mode or hibernate, ...

Kind regards,

Nielsvds

No idle scan will not wake the computer out of sleep or hybernation so set the idle scan to start before the computer goes to sleep. It will scan in powersave mode only if plugged into AC power.

Dear mike852 and PapauZ,

I appreciate both  your replies.

I have one similar question: What will happen with the scan when I log-out?

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards,

Nielsvds

It can scan only when you are logged in.
If you are logging out when it is doing the background tasks, those taks will be stopped at the moment you move your mouse or press any key. And by the next idle time they will start again.
If you stop any of the background tasks, nothing happens... They will be finished next time.

What I do is I set the idle time timeout to happen before my computer sleeps. When the computer is idle it will perform many different background tasks including full system scans. If any one of these tasks are interrupted by the user by moving the mouse or pressing a key or touching a touch-pad or even shutting down the computer the task will resume once the idle timeout limit is reached again. It works really good and have had no problems with it.  :smileyhappy:
