Win 11 64-bit - Manual Check required for Windows Device Encryption in Norton 360

Hello! Firstly, I searched the entire forum for an answer, so that question is now out of the way. There are older threads but they're all locked from previous Windows 11 versions. This is happening in the most modern Microsoft Windows 11 update which is: Version 21H2 OS Build 22000.527

You may find this info by running the command word Winver in Windows Run for Windows 10 or 11.

(Pro or Home edition are exactly the same in Win 11) except for Bitlocker + network domain features)

Windows 11 64-bit (All versions) Version 21H2 OS Build 22000.527

Manual Check required appears in the Software Updater component of the Norton 360 GUI choices.

Please advise on a solution.

Steps to reproduce issue:

Run Software Updater, the issue re-appears each time the user presses the Rescan button.

Any and all help would be more than appreciated in solving this issue. Criticism will be ignored as it won't help and is un-nessary and wasted time. Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for posting on the Norton Community. We will look into this. For now, you can use the “Exclude” button in the Wizard screen. Excluded programs will not be included in any subsequent scans. You can refer to this KB: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v138894743

Thanks!

What has been done so far:

Ran Windows Update, Win 11 has all updates and says "You're up to date" with the correct clock time.

Ran Win System File Checker from elevated admin Powershell using the command sfc /scannow. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e for more info.

and... last but not least, I have restarted my computer one time. Thank you.
