I recently bought a USB 3.0 PCIe card and Western Digital USB 3.0 3Tb drive for my backups based on your solved posting. I have a Dell XPS900 running Windows 7 with 12gb of Ram. I cannot get Ghost 15 to backup to the drive. Disk manager can see the drive. When I connect the drive to a USB 2.0 port, Ghost works fine and runs the backup job. The drive works fine with other programs when connected to the USB 3.0 card, but does not work with Ghost 15.
Here's the error message I get.
Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: My Computer Backup.
Error E7D1001F: Unable to write to file.
Error EBAB03F1: The system cannot find the file specified.
Info 67B70171: VSS Writer ASR Writer failed.Check the application event log for writer specific error. (UMI:V-281-3215-6071)

Source: Norton Ghost
Any suggestions?
Thanks
