I recently upgraded to windows 10 (hours ago) and ever since have been trying my best to get NIS to work with it. I was told (by the program) that it encountered numerous errors and needed to be reinstalled. I did this. After hours (literally hours) of uninstalling, reinstalling, attempting to update, etc. I have finally come to my wits end. Some programs I use for school and gaming can not access the internet because apparently my firewall (which is indicated by the picture below to be NIS) is blocking them. However I can't access NIS to change these settings.
So I tried to go to Nortons website and attempt to update it using the Update Tool, however it says that NIS is not installed and gives me the same uninstall/reinstall loop that I've been stuck in for hours. NIS is said to be unavailable in the Apps & Features window (shown below) so I have to wonder HOW is controlling my firewall settings IF IT IS UNAVAILABLE?! I've also tried uninstalling and doing a manual install of NIS however the only available version from Nortons' website is version 22.0 which is not compatible with WX; 22.5 is needed instead.
Can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this? I am on the verge of losing my mind.
