I have Windows 10 1511 Home. The Security and Maintenance states Norton Antivirus is Off even though NAV itself says it "Your Are Protected" with green checks everywhere.
Windows will not allow me to turn on NAV even though a I ran Live Update.
I have tried both with and without Windows Defender on (through the Registry word DisableAntiSpyware).
From what I read this is just a status message and that NAV is actively protecting the machine.
1. Should I disable Windows Defender to prevent conflicts between it and NAV?
2. Is there something else I should try?
I have Windows Update Service shut off because I am having a problem with it that prevents any further updates including Windows Anniversary.
