Windows 10 Update Error: " Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.213.1379.0) - Error 0x80070643"

Hi,

I have a laptop running Windows 10 Pro TH2 that was upgraded from TH1. Once Norton 360 is installed, Windows Update does not work properly and always shows error "Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.213.1379.0) - Error 0x80070643". Once I uninstall Norton 360, Windows Update then returns to normal. 

I have another laptop running Windows 10 Pro TH2 that was upgraded from Windows 7 and does not have such issue. It seems that the Norton 360 Setup does not disable the Windows Defender properly for one machine but does for another. What can I do to solve it? Thank you.

 Thank you for you info on problem (See P Mossel)  Followed your steps and now showing Defender app. is not in service and your PC is up to date,  No more error for windows defender updates
