Windows 11 update reset tpm 2.0 in bios

Hello.

If you ever see a challenge pin that looks like this (A1B2C3), and your PC seems laggy or buggy, go into your BIOS and check to see if TPM 2.0 is not switched off, if it is, switch it back on, and reset your profile settings, save and exit and that should clear up the mess that MICROSOFT made.

Be advised; The latest Windows PC update; Windows 11 version 25H2 reset my PC’s BIOS and turned off TPM, it also reset my RAM and CPU timings to stock, as well as other settings which led to a BSOD, and various DOA trouble codes. After four long hours, a CMOS flash, a hard shut down at the power supply, and cold reboot, I finally made it back into the OS settings, Windows Update said the original update failed and it had to install a REE-PAIR VERSION :grimacing:, but even after that was installed it still reset the BIOS to stock settings, so I had to go back into BIOS and reset everything again.

Now, I do not know if this affected Norton’s app performance on my PC? But I was surprised and in a panic when I discovered that MICROSOFT has the capability to totally reset my motherboards BIOS settings without warning. So I immediately turned off automatic updates and will now have to manually supervise each and every install of Windows Updates from now on and to check and verify BIOS SETTINGS AFTER EVERY WINDOWS UPDATE, and if you encountered a similar issue I advise you do the same.

The moral here is; DO NOT TRUST WINDOWS AUTOMATIC UPDATES.

I’ve been building my own systems for twenty years and I’ve never seen any OS update that aggressive before, and it makes one wonder what else they can turn off, or turn on?

God bless and Merry Christmas. :christmas_tree:
