Windows 7 64 bit

I recently upgraded from windows 7 home to professional 64 bit, i bought the new internet security and its paid for a full year.  This install is only 3 months old, when i installed it the first time i went to bed got up turned my machine on and i watched the Norton ICON break into little pieces on my desk top.  I spoke with a rep from norton and i reinstalled the software, when i rebooted my machine i got the Blue Screen, i contacted Microsoft and told them what happened and theytold me that it was the norton internet security that i installed and its glitche that symantec knows about and microsoft told me that they had no fix, they also told me that symantec knows about this problem.  If Symantec knows of this problem then why didn't they tell me and they still let me buy a years subscription when i cant even use it, do they hae a fix for this now?  If they dont i think i should get a refund because it makes my machine crash, i want some type of resolution for this problem because i had to buy AVG internet security and i also had to restore my machine to an earlier date because of the blue screen that norton was the cause, i have uninstalled the norton of course and i still have 2 more downloads but i cant and wont use them now bcasuse of the crash issues, i have had no problems with AVG, so i hope that symantec will give me a refund, can someone help me with this or send me in the right direction to take care of this and get my money back?  Thanks
