Windows 7 Action Center says 360 Virus and Firewall are turned off

I am running full retail version of Windows 7 Pro and Norton 360 v.3 (3.5.2.11)

Windows 7 Action Center alerts me that there are "2 problems" - Under "Virus Protection" there is a message that says, "Norton 360 reports that it is turned off," and under "Firewall" the message says, "Windows Firewall and Norton 360 both report that they are turned off."

If I click on the "Turn On  Now" button next to Virus Protection, it brings me to Norton 360 application, and everything is on with green checkmarks.  Same for the Firewall settings.

Why is Windows 7 reporting that both Virus Protection and Firewall are turned off, when Norton 360 shows everything is protected and turned on??  I've read through this forum, and the only similiar issue was for a Beta version of Win 7, and the fix (install full release version) does not apply here - I'm already running full retail versions of both Norton 360 and Windows 7 Pro.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Try the solution mentioned in the above thread and let us know the results.

That worked!  Unregistering and then reregistering that .dll file corrected the problem.  After the second reboot, Windows 7 now shows Norton 360 Antivirus and Firewall turned on and everything is protected.  Thanks so much!
