Thanks for checking out deleting the SRP from within WIN 7 Disk Management -- were you logged in as Administrator or I wonder if one has to be in Safe mode?
I'm about to have another shot at dual booting my new PC with XP and WIN 7 on seperate drives so I may get a chance to see. Last time I did use unallocated space and had the hidden partition. Not sure whether or not I'll do that or make the partition first. But last time WIN7 destroyed the XP drive, boot code probably?
I'm very keen on multibooting. I have over 10 OS on my first HD. 3 Win7, 2 WinXP, Vista, several DOS, Ubuntu etc. BING makes multi-booting easy. No OS sees any of the others. No sharing of boot code.
Just like PQ Magic used to hide them. But actually I find it extremely useful to be able to drag and drop from one inactive OS drive to the active one.
To demonstrate the flexibility of Ghost, I imaged a Win7 partition with Ghost 9 (Ghost 9 was installed in a WinXP partition). WinXP and Win7 partitions were then deleted. The Win7 image was restored (using Ghost 14) to unallocated space and the OS booted normally.
