I received a NIS 2011 alert indicating that Auto-Protect had detected and fully removed a Boot.BootlockB trojan virus.
I noticed that this had happened exactly at the time that Window 7 had tried to run a backup. I subsequenty tried to run the Windows 7 backup a couple of times and found that each time NIS alerted for the Boot.BootlockB trojan virus and indicated it was fully removed. This also prevented the backup.
I think this is either a legitimate virus problem that isn't really being fixed or fully removed by NIS 2011 or it is a false alert that is blocking a legitimate Windows 7 backup.
I would appreciate help from someone knowledgable about the possible nature of this problem and any fix to permit me to run a Windows 7 backup.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Edition Version 6.1 Build 7601 SP1 with NIS 2011 (Version 18.6.0.29)
Thanks.
