After installing the initial January update from the Live Update System, Windows 8 no longer recognizes Norton Internet Security Antivirus or Firewall modules via the Windows Action Center. Also after installing the initial January update all computers running Norton Internet Security on my home network can no longer communicate or recognize my Samsung SCX-3400W laser printer.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Norton Internet Security using fresh install files from my account on the Norton Web site, but the issue remains.
Also starting on or about January 6, 2013, my computers running Norton Internet Security started experiencing issues connecting to several web sites and experiencing file corruption issues when downloading files. After uninstalling Norton Internet Security all of these issues have been resolved.
I have checked all of my PC's with the Norton Removal Toll to ensure there are no virus' or malware that were missed. After removing Norton Internet Security I have tried several other antivirus engines and again have scanned all my systems to check for any virus or malware infection and I have been unable to find anything. After checking all my systems, removing the other antivirus engines, rebooting, reinstalling Norton Internet Security using all the defaults and rebooting all of the issues return, Windows 8 states no AV or Firewall is installed or running, can not communicate with network based printer or multifunction devices and experiencing Web site and file down load corruption.
I have since removed Norton INternet Security from all 3 of my computers and the issues again have been resolved. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues? If so, how did you resolve these issues?
Thank you,
Chad L.
