I am having the same issue as reported in the sticky above (Tim Lopez). (action center reporting: no firewall, no antivirus and no spyware/unwanted software protection.) I tried the fix listed, installing KB2836988 but my PC reports this is already installed. I have also tried the fix listed in the help section search (terms: windows 8 action center) which involves changing the startup of Security Center service. When going to HP Support assistant it also reports what the windows action center is reporting. Are these known program incompatibles? Thanks much for your time and assistance.
