Windows action center messages after I d/l Norton 2012 and Yahoo games freezing up.

nortonscreenashot.jpgHi Everyone, I d/l Norton 2012 last night and after 5 hours of screwing around with Live Update (kept failing to complete) Things were going great! Then when I tried to play yahoo Euchre the page froze up. So I rebooted, did a full system scan and tried again..... Well no such luck.

I pretty much only use my laptop to play euchre and check e-mails. Norton 2011 was fine and I had no problems with it at all. I'm really regretting installing the new version.

Also I'm now getting messages from windows action center saying that I need to turn on windows defender, turn on windows firewall, turn on virus protection.............. I thought I did have virus protection? Norton is definitely turned on and says it's secure, I did a live update not that long ago, why is windows telling me that it's turned off?

If anyone has any ideas as to how I can play euchre again PLEASE tell me. And what are all these messages from windows about?

(all other web pages are fine, just yahoo games isn't working.)

I'm using windows 7 - 64-bit, I have a HP dv6 laptop, I'm now using Norton 2012, internet explorer 8.
