Windows Activation problem

Hi

Since the 22.23.10.10 update I have a problem with Windows 10. My genuine and activated copy of Windows 10 says I need to activate.

When I go to the Activation page there is a message saying unable to reach Windows Activation Servers.

If I go back to a backup from 1/12/33 and don't update to 22.23.10.10 everything is fine.

Please help

Thanks for the post back. The next suggestion would have been to use DISM to check for your install having corrupted files and repair it. Glad hearing things are back to normal again for you.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I decided to reinstall windows and it activated without any problems. I reinstalled Norton and so far no problems.

Guess it was just one of those things.

@johnnydee57 Please post a screenshot of the activation error message for us to review. Make sure it does NOT have any personal information visible within the screenshot. Here is how to do that - https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-post-image-forums-0

I have personally never had a legitimate install of Windows nailed by Norton as not being genuine. When you said:

If I go back to a backup from 1/12/33 and don't update to 22.23.10.10 everything is fine.

Are you referring to a system restore to another date before you installed Norton version 22.23.10.10 ? Does Norton have anything in its history indicating that it detected a illegitimate install of Windows before you reverted?

You can also disable norton when you activate windows and see if that helps and then activate it agian after and see if that works when it is that short time ther is problerly nothing ther can happen or disable the vpn

I would personally turn off the vpn in "my norton" and see if it helps at all.
