I have found an old windows back up on external hard drive. I no longer have a windows machine. Is there any way of restoring the backup using ios or android (even if just only back to the hard drive)
Norton 360 backups are encrypted. The only way to access them is to use a 360 installation to restore the files. But to do that you will need 360 installed on a Windows PC.
It’s a Norton 360 backup on the external drive, I’ve no idea what’s on it. I can’t see a way of restoring it through the iPad app.
What kind of files are you looking to recover? What program was used to make this backup? If they were encrypted, you would need that program to make any sense of what is stored on the external drive.
