Windows firewall running - Norton 360 v6 from Comcast

I am curious as to why Windows Firewall is running.

Control Panel > WIndows Firewall  States "Settings being managed by Norton 360".

Home or work networks  Connected

Public Networks  Not Connected

If I go to Services though I see

MpsSvc   WIndows Firewall   running   LocalServiceNoNetwork (Group)Windows Firewall Running.jpg

Should I stop the service and disable, as long as I am running 360? I noticed this with v5 and just upgraded to v6. I've been having trouble with downloads and streaming the past couple of days and wonder if this could be relevant.

Hi iamcollin,

The Windows FIrewall Service needs to be running, even though the Windows FIrewall itself is disabled when a third-party firewall (Norton) is installed.  What you are seeing is correct.
