Windows Media Extender not allowed through Norton Firewall (wired to wireless)

I'm not sure why this is happening, but Norton refuses to allow my Xbox to connect to Windows Media Center while my laptop is wireless. When I plug straight into the router, all is well and works like a charm. I do not have this problem with any other device (phone to Xbox, phone to laptop). Is there some mystical barrier between them when not both wired?

Please see the following article.  Also, is your wireless network secured?  If you are not using WEP or WPA encryption, Norton will limit your connectivity to other devices on your network in some ways.
