Windows Security Center shows firewall off

Hi,

 

I have the folliwing Laptop configuration

Windows Vista HP(64 Bit)

Norton Internet Security 2010

3 GB RAM

 

I recently facing a new problem with respect to windows security center. It indicates that firewall has been turned off and spyware is not running(even though NIS has all these turned on). I tried to install office 2010 and it made a mess in the registry and permission setting. I believe it is something to do with the permissions in the registry. Some one please suggest me a solution to see windows recognizes the NIS settings.

Are you sure that my existing NIS 2010 is enough for installing and activating NIS 2011 or should I pay any renewal charges?

A valid license key for 2010 will work on 2011 without any extra charge.

Please remove NIS 2010 using the control panel method first with a reboot before you use the Norton Removal Tool. Also please be aware that it will remove all Norton products. Thanks.
