Not sure what broke it, but the Windows subsystem for Android (Windows 11) has suddenly stopped communication with Norton 360's Firewall active. Might be the recent release of feature updates to Windows itself or to the subsystem component.
Not seeing anything logged as being blocked (I don't remember if logging such is something you have to turn on), so not sure what if any rules might have to be changed.
Hello tns. If I understand correctly, Norton isn't showing anything in history that would indicate its blocking Firewall Activities / Firewall Network and Connections? Have you reset the Norton firewall and a restart? Some quick questions come to mind.
Multiple full restarts. We are talking about the Microsoft version of the windows subsystem for Android that is only available on windows 11. Both windows and the subsystem for Android had updates this month. I suspect that either this broke it or norton firewall is not currently accepting the new versions. Note this broke on both a desktop snd laptop. Works immediately if I stop firewall.
Have you restarted your computer since this started? Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
