Hi,
Starting around midday today we have been consistently getting a Windows Update Error 8024402C on all three PC's we have. The built in support for Windows mentions a lot about whether something is blocking Windows Update from accessing the internet (e.g an antivirus/firewall software). Now that isn't happening here obviously since it was working fine until today.
At first I thought, is it not possible it could be something at Microsoft's end (e.g their servers are down), but having done some looking around via google etc no body ever seems to mention something being wrong at Microsoft's end in relation to this error.
Virus scans with NIS 2011 are clean, and my internet connection is operating as normal, yet Windows can't update/check for updates.
Any help would be appreciated with regards what may be causing it or indeed if it's possibly something at Microsoft's end.
Edit:
Having turned our router off for 10min and then back on, suddenly windows can check for updates. Additionally, I had been trying to get through the Release Date Check for Battlefield 3 (which was consistently failing), but that also suddenly works...
Is this something to be worried about or is it possible the router just got 'confused' .....?
