The Windows Update Tray icon notification hasn't been working on either of my 2 PC's since about the 2nd week of August. My WU setting has always been set to "Download Updates but let me choose whether to install them" and the Tray Icon has been notifying me of available WU's since I began running Win 7 in 2010.
I'm not sure but this issue may have been related to the Win 10 general release rollout and the associated "GWX" WU's.

There's also a thread over at the Win 7 forum but not much activity over there about it so I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue or more isolated and if it's specific to only the Win 7 machines that have received GWX items or perhaps have had those items appear in their WU inbox but haven't installed them.
Has anyone else noticed this issue since August?
