I have norton 360 2.0 on my vista 64 laptop with 15 months subscription(came with the laptop). I installed windows 7 64 bit and it did a clean install. Now, I could not install 360 2.0 because of the incompatible issue. I went to the norton tech and see that I need to install norton 360 3.0 but when I did that, the product key for norton 360 2.0 is invalid. Any help or sugesstions? Thanks.
There are two editions for Norton 360. One is Norton 360 (which we call Standard) and other is Norton 360 Premier edition. You cannot activate Norton 360 Premier edition with the standard product key and viz.vez.
Here you may be trying to activate one version's product key with the other. Please let us know your Norton 360's edition. We can provide you the correct link.
Or just tell us the online backup space you had in your Norton 360 2.0 product (2Gb or 5Gb). We will get an idea from that.

Hi cxy
Sorry to hear about your problem. I think your problem has to do with N360 coming with your computer. That means it is an OEM version of N360. I am not sure, but I don't think you can upgrade those using the same key. This may be a time when you have to use live chat and explain your situation. They should be able to help you with that issue. Thanks.
You can download a new copy of Norton 360 3.0 from any of the following links according to the edition of Norton 360 2.0 you had(click on the link to to start the download):
For Norton 360: http://www.norton.com/n360s_3
For Norton 360 Premier Edition: http://www.norton.com/n360p_3
Then start the installation from the downloaded file, use the Product key of Norton 360 2.0 when it prompts for activation. Otherwise, contact Symantec Customer Service and they will assist you further with your subscription.

Thanks for your guys help, I got it to work. The box on my computer states norton antivirus 2.0 and I assumed it was 360 since no other product has 2.0. I was wrong and when I downloaded the Norton antivirus 2010 the product key worked.
