This morning I rebooted my computer
and my Vista Security Center is indicating that I do not have a
firewall or antivirus protection.
I do use Norton AntiVirus 2008 which does contain a firewall, antivirus, and antispyware I rebooted just 2 days ago and did not get this message.
I notice that a message in the Vista Security Center under antivirus
protection indicated that Norton Antivirus is on, but Vista Security
center is not able to support the way the program is notifying Vista
Security Center.
I do not believe it is a virus because I am able to run a Norton scan, a
spybot S&D scan and a malwarebytes scan. And all scans come up
clean other than tracking cookies. I know the Norton firewall is on as
it indicates port blocking Plus I am able to update all 3 of these
products with the latest defs.
My Norton Protection center panel indicates that I am secure and I just even updated defs.
So am I secure since my Norton Control Panle indicates so, even if the Vista Control Panel does not?
So is this just Vista no longer recognizing the Norton 2008 products?
At this point I like 2008 very much and would rather not change
