Let me start off by saying Norton and Norton Virus Removal is worthless. Now my problems started with a svchost.exe process with a description of winrscmde started using all my memory. The svchost.exe was not in the system 32 folder as it should be hense in the task manager it showed up as svchost*32 and the creation and access date was recent while the modification date was in 2010. Now svchost file being in the windows folder rather than the system32 folder is a symtom itself. The fact the the modification date is earlier than the creation date means the file was created on a seperate machine. This thing also prevented me from accessing windows system recovery tools and gave me an error: f3-f100-0010.
Try all you want if you have this virus norton products will not find it. They won't even see the svchost that it is using to take up resources. I used 360, Norton Pwer Eraser, and Boot Recovery Tool. All tools used by Norton Virus removal service also could not find the source. All they can do is clear out the process caused by the virus and keep your computer alive for a few more days.
I malwarebytes recognised the bogus svchost process and file but they regen whenever placed in quaranteen or removed. To see the problem run an MRT scan. If you have what I got the first and only infection found will be dos.tojen/alueron.a. I recommend you do not bother with norton and find someone that is good at virus removal that volunteers or is recommended on a forum. I can only point you towards Quads but he's a busy guy.
If your working with quads be patient and follow his lead. He's helped quite a few people if you check the threads. I choose to do my own thing becasue of time restraints so I'm reverting to what t I know..... wipe, reimage, and date recovery. If anyone has anything to add please do. Quads keep up the good work.
