A few days back I updated my Windows Vista PC to Windows Vista SP1. I also may have installed a NetGear update that Windows Update Center recommended.
And now the wireless on that machine won't stay connected to my router. It sees it. It connects. But then it drops again.
So.... any ideas? Any information you'd like to know to help troubleshoot? I tried all weekend and nothing I do seems to work. And since upgrading to SP1, I'm unable to revert back to a prior state where it worked correctly.

my money is on frequency interference... try changing the frequency (wireless channel) from the netgear admin console on the router and synch it on the wireless adapter and see if that resolves it.
Hi Delphinium - I have "limited connectivity" for a few seconds before it drops.
Hi PapauZ - I did try disabling NIS, with no success. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi MelodicWynd - Since it worked fine prior to the ServicePack / NetGear upgrade, I don't think frequency is an issue. But I'll go ahead and take your suggestion and look into it later. Thanks!
I think if Norton is doing it, there should be some kind of notification in Firewall activities or Firewall and network connections. My ISP seems to drop the connection each time the lease expires, which is annoying, and if it appears that there is no internet usage. Sometimes the NAT router can be so secure that the ISP doesn't know if you are using the service or not, so they drop it, especially if it is a heavy use time.
I then have to go into the router settings to reconnect, rather than booting the machine.
