I have 3 pc's in my network. All are running windows XP pro, 1 wired desktop runs NIS2008 1 wired desktop runs NIS2009 and my laptop runs NIS2009. File sharing seems to be fine between all 3 units and all below to the same workgroup.
Within Windows view network computers, all show in the network.
When I open up norton network map and set up remote monitoring I can also see all 3 units in each others network map and all are set up with full trust.
What is unusual is that on the laptop, the other 2 pc's are showing offline. When I look at the laptop status on the other pc's both the laptop and other unit are showing as online and secure.
Also, my other pc's also show my Wii and my router, yet me laptop cannot even show these. I enclose pictures of my laptop network and one of my pc's network maps in tNIS o show the difference. At the time of taking, 1 of the PC's was off and so was my Wii.
Whilst this is not causing any problems, it is something that is annoying me. Any ideas?
