Hello,
Since I'v updated to Norton Internet Security 2010 I got some problems with my Windows Live Messenger.
When I try to start watching/sending webcam it cannot connect, it sometimes doesnt work but 1 out of 10 succeeds.
I'v found that norton blocks a certain port, namely port 14013. In the Security history it states:
"Blockage of unused ports has blocked communications. Incoming TCP-connection from 192.168.178.1, local service port (14013)."
WLM is a trusted program, and I'v tried creating a new rule, but it doesnt work.
Anyone got any tips how to solve this, or any clues what could cause this?
(wlm fully updated, Norton fully updated to)
Thank you,
Tokko1
Hello tokko1
Welcome to the Norton Users Discussion Forum
Have you checked your router to see if it is allowed thru that? Did you move the rule you created up to the top?
There were no problems with the older Norton so I assume my router accepts the connections.
And I added a "New rule" to the existing rules..
Hello tokko1
Please put that rule on top of the list of rules and then reboot your computer and try then. Please let us know if that helps.
Thank you, moving it up solved it!
