Wont autofill at checkout (shopping)

I couldnt figure out the proper search query so I'm just gonna post a new thread.

 

Okay walmart.com  is the website.  Apparently after installing NIS 2012 they mustve done a security checkout site upgrade.  When I had NIS 2011 installed, everytime I would buy something it made it easy for me to not type anything in.

 

After installing NIS 2012 tonight was the first night I bought something from walmart.com so perhaps the past 30days they have upgraded their website.

 

I noticed that the link at checkout was different than when I saved it a long time ago.  So I edited NIS 2012 login and changed the weblink but NIS 2012 still wasnt filling in the proper fields even after refreshing the webpage

 

I submitted a "report issue" via the "Identity Safe" drop down menu but I dont know if it goes through, how long it takes, etc etc etc.

 

So I guess I'm mentioning my situation here to see if other people, when they submit a "wont autofill my shopping page" how long it takes before it gets fixed sort of speaking.

Gonna have to let you know tomorrow or later today.

 

I'm getting Error 8920, 223 which tells me to wait up to 24hrs

I also got that within th elast 10 minutes.  I went ahead and ran a liveupdate any way and it downloaded the two updates that failed just a couple of minutes before.

okay well I'm gonna try this again but I'm still having an issue with liveupdate but so are the rest of the community.

 

Yesterday I had a problem with Web Protection and today I'm having an issue with the 2012 Smart Definitions

 

So I'm hoping that it should be fine and I will try and see if I can buy something online using my auto fill; I'll be back.

Nope still doesnt work.

 

So if I'm completely signed out of Walmart.com how it works is that I click Login

Norton auto fills the log in portion

 

Next I browse

Add to cart

Click Start Checkout

Choose Site to Store or Mail Ship

Hit Proceed to checkout

 

It opens a new window and BAM thats when Norton Internet Security 2012 will not auto fill in the login portion of my checkout.

 

And I believe before walmart.com upgraded their site I was able to re log back in without having to manually hand type it.

Hi Itolman:

 

Just in case you weren't aware, there's a bug in NIS 2012 where Identity Safe will not autofill some logins correctly.  See the thread Known Issues with NIS 19.1 here and check the link next to the issue Entries created by Identity Safe fill wrong info into site fields.

 

I don't know if this is the same issue you're having, but since you've already reported the site to Symantec there may not be much more you can do until Symantec releases a product update via LiveUpdate.  Symantec employee prassana_a may be able to provide more info.

Hi Itolman,

 

As pointed out by Imacri, we have few known issues with Identity safe form filling. We are working on the fixes.

 

And regarding the WALMART issue, thanks for reporting it. We have raised an incident from our and we are following up it internally.

 

For the Identity safe issues, we will send the updates via Live Update and in the LU summary if you find "WAX Rules Set" it means we have sent some updates for these kind of form filling issues. These updates will be sent on timeframes only and not like regular pulse updates.

okay I bought something at walmart.com tonight noticed that my login information still wasnt being filled; I remembered I posted this.

 

Anyways I re checked known issues, but then went to main page saw there was an update; I checked my version and I am running the latest version.

 

Saw the patch notes:

 

updated id safe to correct several login issues

 

 

But I'm curious if theres any news status about my walmart.com site?  Thanks

Hi,

 

This issue is already fixed in our inhouse WAX Patch.

When the next patch is released through Live Update it would solve your issue.

We are not sure about the date of release for the next patch but it would be avaialble soon.
