Say I log into my employers' work domain of "example.com".
Within this domain exists 3 subdomains: payroll.example.com, webmail.example.com, and office.example.com. Each of these use different usernames and passwords for security reasons.
When I visit one of the pages directly, say payroll, I am prompted on the bar as to which login I want to use but NIS auto-fills in the last username and password I used (say, webmail). If I then log out of payroll and change to the office login page the fields now auto-fill with the payroll username and password because it was the last one I selected...
Why won't NIS differentiate between the subdomains and use the appropriate logins for each one instead of assuming I'm using the same login across the subdomains? Having to stop and select (which it doesn't always prompt to do) kind of defeats the purpose of the auto-fill username and password, doesn't it?
