Win 7 Pro PC with Norton Family installed, latest version I believe but not sure.
NOF Icon does not show in the taskbar, neither does it say that it's a monitored account when you log into it, but there's an entry in the start menu and control panel / programs for Norton Family.
Tried going to the website and clicking on the download link and downloading and installing again. It runs for a while, then says, "Click Retry to continue your install", 2 buttons, "Cancel install, Retry'". It never runs to completion. reboot, retry, never runs to completion.
Tried Uninstall from the Start menu and from Control Panel. It never runs to completion, it just sits there and does nothing.
I tried to run a Microsoft fixit which I've used many times in similar situations: Microsoft Fixit for programs that won't uninstall. However, Norton Family is not listed. It says, for programs that are not listed, to enter the product GUID. Do you know what the product GUID for Norton Family is?
I need to remove this copy of Norton Family and reinstall it, but none of the methods for uninstalling and reinstalling work.
How do you get rid of a non functioning copy of NOF? Do I have to run Symantec Removal Tool and get rid of Norton Internet Security as well?
Is there a support phone number for Norton Family? What is it?

Something is very wrong with the whole installation.
Can you ask the developers what GUID is assigned to the product so I can use the Microsoft Fixit I mentioned above? Or should I go for the Symantec Removal Tool?

I had to run the Norton Removal Tool. It saw the Delrina registry key and said I had to remove Winfax pro first. I deleted the Delrina registry key and ran it again.
When I reinstalled Norton Family, it asked for a reboot - maybe it detected parts of itself already there. After the reboot, everything seems fine.
