Hey everyone... The past few months I've been extremely interested in getting NIS 2010 because of what I've heard about, i.e. being fast and barely using any CPU now. However, recently a friend purchased it and installed it, and he's a regular player of WoW... When I told him I was going to purchase it as well he insisted not to and that he had uninstalled it because he saw that while he was playing, performance in WoW would drop to being unplayable for like 5 minutes... then suddenly spike back to normal. When he checked Task Manager during that 'slow-down' he saw svchost.exe and ccsvchst each of which took up around 30-40% of the cpu... with ccsvchst.exe consuming the most. Now I didn't exactly believe him, so I had tried the trial a bit before, and the same exact thing was happening with me.
I would be playing at about 40-50 fps, then suddenly it would drop to 1-4 fps for like a solid 5 minutes and the game becomes a slideshow. Same exact processes were running in my background too. I have no clue what was causing it, but I tried messing around with the settings to no avail. The second I uninstalled it, everything returned back to normal.
Is there some sort of bug or something that is making it incompatible for me? I really want to get NIS 2010 because I really liked it but it's a no-no for me if it messes me up every 20 minutes while I'm playing... Any help/advice would be appreciated.
