I first started having a problem with FireFox where some websites would not come up. For instance, I could not navigate to my Yahoo mail or click on any of the news links. But when I do a Yahoo search, I can navigate to the various links that come up. Surprisingly, I can get to the non working links using IE.
I am also unable to execute cmd from the start/runbox. It ends up closing all my apps when I run it.
Norton occasionally reports that it is stopping something from running but full scans come up clean. At some point, I found something called dfdmrb.igk in the Windows directory. Doing a search for that pointed me to Prevx. I downloaded the trial version and ran a full scan. It reports that I have 4 problems. The free version won't do the clean up. I don't think the swr_wizard.exe is really a problem. But the other stuff probably is.
Does anyone know what this is and how to remove it? Based on other posts regarding Prevx, I'm not sure how nicely it plays with Norton. And, I really don't want to buy another Anti-virus program since I still have over eight months on my Norton sub.
