Would an employee of Nortons PM me for log in details

I posted a problem I am looking for a solution to and received a private message from a Christy_T claiming to be an employee of Nortons. She asked me for my log in details to my subscription which I did not provide as this doesn't seem normal.

Has anyone else experienced this or can advise if this is commonplace?

Hey there,

I am Christy Thomas working with Norton by Symantec. Let me explain the intention of my message to @con.andrews here. I have requested for the e-mail associated with the Norton Account to further troubleshoot the reported issue. I used the private chat to ask about the email address as you know we can't share the e-mail in a public forum

Hope it cleared the confusion. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Christy.

Yes Christy_T is a Norton Employee. If you look at her forum picture, you will see a red Employee badge. She deals with issues with the Norton Account web site. She probably asked for your email for your Norton account so she can try to check to see what you are reporting. That kind of personal information is never asked for in the open forum. That is why you received the forum PM.

Um, by log in details to your subscription.....do you mean email address associated with your Norton account?
Or, do you mean your Norton account password?

Seems odd to me....without Christy_T... posting in your Topic [https://community.norton.com/en/forums/devices-missing-view-devices] that Christy_T is sending you PM.
