So my #1 gripe with Norton has always been this ws.reputation.1 crap that deletes perfectly innocent files because too few people use them or whatever.
Luckily after a few versions where restoring was difficult & excluding the files next to impossible you had an easy "restore & exclude from future scans" option recently that served me well for a year or so.
Today my Norton suddenly went old-skool full annoyance again, throwing away 4 files (that I've used for close to 10 years now, perfectly harmless) and not allowing me to easily restore them. I select "exclude from scans" only to have the files thrown out again a minute later.
Could you please be a tat less paranoid and let me get that easy option back? A simple "we detect a possible threat, but would you like to exclude & restore the file since you as an end-user know your computer better than we do?" would be nice.
I could post some vapid threat about jumping ship but tbh overall Norton is like the least annoying of all anti-virus things & I still have 200+ days on my subscription. However if this is becoming a regular annoyance again, you will have 1 thoroughly disgruntled customer :S
Just as a "customer survey" the thing I expect from my anti-virus is that it doesn't bother me. I have had maybe 3 viruses in 20 years of computer use. Stay out of my way and don't pester me, I only need you so my on-line banking falls under insurance regulations.
