For the past ten days or so, I have been getting repeated Norton Internet Security alerts about JS.Yamanner@m threats in my Eudora e-mail folders. When I approve NIS' recommendation to re-scan the Action Required window displays "Processing a large number of threats. The individual threat details will be populated when processing is complete." And there it sits until the next time I need to reboot -- four days in one case -- with no indication of resolution or even progress.
When I look at Security History - Unresolved Security Risks, I similarly get a lengthy list of Yamanner threats. (Resolved Security Theats also shows a lengthy list of quarantined and removed Yamanner threats.) When I run Quick Scan it does not resolve any of these.
Does anyone know what's going on? I had heard nothing of Yamanner for years and I don't see any new commotion about it on the Web. And is there anything I can do about it? NIS seems completely overwhelmed. I don't use Yahoo! Mail, which I suppose lessens the threat, but still I don't care for knowing I have lot of worms infesting my computer.
