And it just goes back to the very first picture. I have tried to run autoupdate but it doesnt work, and the quick scan doesnt either. Can anyone help me?

Welcome,

What is your operating system and is this a new install of your Norton product?

Thanks

Hi MayP07,

Click Support > Subscription Status, and let the Subscription Status Check run.  Then run LiveUpdate.

Try clicking on Support - Get Support to run  Autofix to check your installation and fix what it finds.

Its a 64-bit operating system , no i bought the laptop and it came with it.

Try using the intelligent updater from here: http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=n95 download and run the 64bit version (scroll down to the '64-bit Platforms' section and use the first file). Then run LiveUpdate and run a Quick Scan.

Check you system date and time - just to eliminate that!

I am having the same problem on XP with IE8 and Chrome. I am getting security errors on every secured web site. This started yesterday and stopped sometime during the day. It has come back today and has been this way all day.

Hi zjjones,

Are you getting the same errors shown in the opening poster's screenshots, or are you having a different issue?

I was getting the same. This afternoon, Norton went back to working OK.
